Lexx-o-Rama isn't dead yet. It is now the longest-running annual LEXX convention in the world, I think, and in fact the only one that is still in operation. This is yet another proof of Sweden's greatness. Right?

This year there was more proof, of why lexxians are the best people in the world. The weather decided to show us just how much rain it could chuck at us in three days, and that was quite a lot -- and still Lexx-o-Rama didn't fail to deliver it's lexxiany goodness. It is the people that make it so great, not the locations (smack in the middle of Göteborg's largest camping-ground) or the weather (see above) or even the activities (mostly non-existent).

Participants poured in from all over Europe once again: Tribs and Jinx came from the UK on Thursday and got lodgings with Majzan. On Friday came all the rest, the Northerners eo, Mira, Bri, MantRa and Eileen, Jooon who looked shifty and tried to dodge us with his camera, Jon and Racas from Norrköping, car-toting Rorschach, and eventually more or less local people Arestion, matZ and Iridium.

Friday night, after the normals had all gone to bed and left the kitchen to us, became the Night Of The Banana. We also mixed some p-p-pattern -- there were brain tracks on the window next day giving us away. When the sensitive elements of the crowd had gone home, Eileen brought out her song book and treated us to some of the raunchier bits in it. Coooooor!

We must have gone to bed at some point because I woke up in the --presumably-- morning, with a throat so sore I couldn't speak for several hours. That's what harsh coughing can do to you. Others hardly got up at all...

Saturday is the traditional day for shopping, but the weather this year only permitted a few purchases, at Shock and Dolores. Dolores sells comics and all sorts of strange things, for instance Devil Duckies. The theme of this year's Lexx-o-Rama definitely became Ducky: black, purple, gold, glow-in-the-dark, camouflage, and dead duckies, all over the place, on heads and in cleavages.

There were even duckies at the restaurant we went to in the soggy evening, the same restaurant we went to last year. This time I sampled their morel sauce and wasn't disappointed. The trip to Poseidon was a bit disappointing though, because of the infernal weather.

Still, there were no normals in evidence when we returned to the camping-ground. Mercifully, because if there were we would have had to restrain ourselves, just a bit. For instance make better rhymes for the lexxian song, and hide the absinthe, and not breathe quite so much tabasco-y fire. Oh boy, time flies in good company, where did the evening go?

Suddenly it was morning again and we had to clean up and break up and sober up, and start making plans for next year. Perhaps we should go to Liseberg fairground, like those did who didn't immediately go home? Then we could all watch Jooon go crazy at the dance machine again, or float all our duckies in the big ponds. Yeaah!
