Lexx-o-Rama 2001

Goth-enburg never knew what hit it...

Sunshine and sweltering heat -- and still the Lexxians came. Errrr...

There were the Brits (Milk-Boy and TalonFire) that landed at Säve airfield, the Vännäs mafia (Knas, Soulgrinder, Eo) and Umeå-boy Kimmie, the Falun Gang (Tommen, Olov, Howler and Howler's brother) not to be confused with Falun Gong; the moves these ppl make are not meditative, Jooon the lone Stockholmer, a whole bunch of Gothenburgers (Arestion, Majsan, Pentagram, Kryddko, Bumbi, Peter, me), and last but not the least, radioactive man from Halland, matZ.

Picking up lexxians can involve visits to sex shops, a whole lot of fluids, sweating like pigs and poking eyes out with the Divine Order salute. But it will succeed.

This year we camped next to Liseberg, the big amusement park that IS Gothenburg. We saw it but opted to hang out by ourselves instead, and watch LEXX series 3 projected big-screen on a wall. Gosh, the cod-piece scene never looked more impressive.

But there's more -- a night on the town: The ppl at the Chinese restaurant were prepared for our number but not, I think, for our appearance. Milky in a Stan hat, Kryddko in PVC, lots of goths and really cool-looking guys in suits. It got even better after a re-fuelling stop back at the flat, when we went to Poseidon and pokled him. matZ wanted to be whipped and we obliged him readily.

Lexx-o-Rama 2001 ended with a bang when the heat-wave finally broke in a spectacular thunder storm.
