"It was better in the old days, when all you had to do to win a democompetition was to put together a picture, a scroller and a module"

THIS IS THE SECOND DEMO I ever made on the ST. It requires a meg of mem, and is really just a bunch of animations synced to "Into the groove"(Ciccone/Bray). If you think this is a ripoff from Omega's "Grotesque", think again. This demo was released before theirs. 8-)
A friend in the US said (and I quote...hehe) "Ten out of ten for presentation, man". This is mainly of interest as a prequel to the rest of the demos. Also, the piano solo is an exact copy of the piano solo on the "You can dance!"-version of the song. Took me one and a half hour, that...

THINGS WERE STARTING TO COME into focus here. I was still struggling to find a replayroutine for my demos; the Atari scene was ridiculously cranky about letting someone else use their replayroutines... In the credit-part I used Karl-Anders Øygaard's ProTracker replay, which uses Timer A and D to play, which is no good for demos.
Devotion requires one meg of mem, and it uses the STE's hardware scrolling and soundchip. It is also harddisk-installable. Neat, huh?

THIS IS EXCELLENCE IN ART'S breakthrough demo (probably the only "famous" one). It won the demo-compo at the Motorola Inside '93-convention, and is probably still one of the few Atari-demos that are appreciated by most people even though it contains no eyebrow-raising code.
Oops, did I say "no eyebrow-raising code"? After two years of constant searching, I came into contact with Mårten Rånge (last time I checked, his handle was "Lance!"). He had made a replayroutine that was not only very fast (used 350Kbs of mem tho...hehe), but also ran on Timer B (meaning it was very easy to sync the demo to the music). We had lots of contact, mainly consisting of me going "But how about this? And this?" and him coding his ass off to satisfy me. The replayroutine used in TalkTalk uses approx. 50% CPU-time and has full ProTracker-support. Without Mårten's incredible patience and support, this demo would never have seen the light of day.
TalkTalk requires an STE (does not run on Falcons), and two megs of mem. It is harddisk- installable, and, well, if you're only getting one of the demos listed in this section, this is the one you want.

THIS IS AN ADVERTISMENT-DEMO FOR Musique. It requires one meg of mem, runs on STEs, and uses Lance!'s replayroutine.
My good friend Tord Jansson thinks this little pre-demo has the best mood of all my demos. He could be right. 8-)

MUSIQUE WAS THE LAST DEMO I released on the STE. From the beginning, it was supposed to be a collection of all the modules I'd made on the Atari, but problems with the mod-encryption-algorithm and lack of patience eventually made me release it as it was...
It uses Lance!'s replayroutine, and needs one meg of mem. I can't remember if it runs from harddisk too, but I don't think it does. This is my personal favourite, partly because it has features I still haven't seen in any other demo on any other machine (the Interactivity piece, for example).
