Lena´s
side of life...
If
You have read my other pages You know that dogs and horses are a great
part of my life. It is a lifestyle really. We had a cocker, and later
a springer at home when I was a kid. I read books on springers and their
training, studied pedigrees and wished a good springer of my own to show
and train. But that had to wait until I left home I was told.
As
a teenager I came to England as an aupair. That´s how I started up
with a bitch imported from England. Her son made my dreams come true: competition
in a fieldtrial for him and me!
Horse
owning too had to wait until leaving home. And the one I bought then is
now 23 years and still going strong... You can see him on his own page!
Horse racing was my passion for a long time but now I am more interested
in dressage. My companion is a big guy, a handsome black Swedish
Warmblood whom I love very much.
I
love beautiful things. I cannot bear to throw things away, which has left
a mark on my home.
And
I have a passion for music! Both to listen and play myself. Gathering together
with musicians and playing is one of the best things that can happen to
me. Not that I am very good at it, but there always seems to be room for
anybody who want´s to sit in among music lovers.
I
am also a mother of two kids, and they have their own homepages. Ellinor
and Rasmus - my jewels.
We
three live in the most beautiful countryside, only 35 min. away from the
heart of Stockholm, viewing a heard of cattle from the kitchen window of
the house. Together with some English Springer Spaniels, 2 cats and that
rabbitfarm of Ellinor´s. All this gives hardly any spare time...
For
a living I am a Career Councellor and my clients are teenagers, I work
at a school. It is a great job!
To
do that I have a three year academic education. I also have a basic agricultural
schooling and have been looking after dairy cattle for some time. And a
lot of racehorses...
Other
things that I love in life are motorcycles, hunting, dancing, sewing fancy
clothes and - shooting (also with my camera!)
Thanks
to my english teacher I came across this lovely poem which is one of my
favourites. Want to read it? Be my guest, I sign off for now and leave
