The old Variant (a3) is still in production, but not by VW. Karmann in Osnabrück produce this car until VW replace it with a new one.
The Bora (former Vento and Jetta) has been released.
The 1.8 20V, the VR5 and the 90hp TDi can be combined with 4motion (4WD). The Golf is available in four versions; (Basic), Comfortline, Trendline, Highline and of course the GTi. You can get the GTi with the 20V turbo, the 110hp TDI, the VR5 and the 1.8 20V 125hp. The VR6 (named "V6") will be back in a few months, with 204HP, 4motion (4wd) and a 6 speed gearbox! Look out! The new V6 have 24 valves.The new Golf is available in
both a 2-door and a 4-door version.
Golf IV share major parts with Audi A3, Skoda Octavia and the Seat Toledo.
Golf IV have 12 years anti-corrosion warranty.
You can buy the Golf with a new-developed GPS navigation system. This is a very intelligent system with
maps based on a CD-ROM system. The system is always updated, and will be sold all over Europe.
