| Mud and Dark | 3.43 | Very Four-Calendar Café. I find the melody a bit weak though. The most interesting part is towards the end when Fraser says/sings something like: here, here, come, come. It sounds different and gives the song a bit of an edge. | * * * |
| Summer-blink | 3.09 | Someone on the mailinglist accused this song's lyrics of being like daily affirmations. I can not help but agree. "I'm accepting myself as I really am", "I'm doing a fine job". Well, it is a shame, and the song in itself is not that special. But it has the Four-Calendar Café sound, so I like it. Not being a native English speaker makes it easier to ignore the lyrics as well. | * * * |
| A single from the Four-Calendar Café album, this is quite hard to find now, not being part of the box set. But, as it is a Cocteau Twins release, with beautiful music and the amazingly playful and pretty cover art in the same style as Four-Calendar Café it is worth looking for. I had both singles sent to me recently and I am very thankful and pleased. |  |
