With those simple words, Hasbro unleashed the Transformers into the world in 1984. Originally little more than a collection of shape-shifting toy robots, the Transformers quickly managed to capture the imagination and attention of millions of people. While other toys have come and gone, the Transformers have lived on, reaching the level of institutionalized fame that's rarely achieved.
