History of the Swedish stampbooklets

1904

In 1904 the first Swedish stampbooklet was made, it was the handmade booklet 5 öre Oscar II with five panes and six stamps in each pane. The handmade stampbooklets were made until 1940, the booklet panes stapled into the covers, cut and printed beforehand.

1928

The first combination booklet came in 1928 and was celebrating king Gustaf V:s 70 anniversary. This booklet contains one pane of each 5, 10 and 15 öre. Every pane consist of 8 stamps of the same value. A combination booklet is a booklet with stamps of different motifs, color and/or face value.

1940

The first machinemade booklet also introduced a new perforating combination, both stamps in a pair perforated on only three sides. The stamps in the booklet were showing Carl von Linné.

1954

The first slot-machine booklet consisted of eight 25 öre stamps showing king Gustaf VI Adolf.

1957

The first genuine combinationbooklet, different face values and different motifs on the same stamppane.5 öre New Numeral Type and 15 öre Gustaf VI Adolf.
