Description:
The Nadesico is a privately owned battleship by the Nergal corporation minding their own business (yup, they can't help their own business interferes with all others). It is the earths most powerful battleship and has to solve the riddle with the invading Jovian Lizards who sends powerful robotic weapons through "tulips" (warpgates) by some unknown technology. The Nadesicos crew is a jumble of different personalities, they are the best of what they do, but can it be used in combat situations?

Mymymy, this series mixes action and humour (mostly humour) into a very enjoyable mix.
There is a stagnation in the middle of the series but it gets better again at the end.
Very enjoyable. The personalities has their twistes, and some are truly faboulous (RuriRuri rules!).

Not as good as the series, but quite ok anyways. I saw this before the series, but if I were
to see it again, I would probably give it a higher rating since I could understand the jokes then ^_^.

Nausicaa is the only surviving child of Jhil, the king of the valley of Wind. They live in the shadow of the Sea of Corruption, a vast area of alien growth which slowly expands to swallow up the continent. One day, a distant war suddenly impinge upon the peaceful valley.

Miyazaki has done another masterpiece with this movie. This is as good as it gets.
Nausicaas small animal is the cutest animal I have ever seen without exaggerated
features (large eyes, cute voices and so on...), and the manga is even better than the anime.

This anime is based on an extensive manga (some 1200 pages) drawn
by Miyazaki some years previous. The manga is quite possibly the
most epic comic ever drawn. If you have not read it yet, you
should immediately repent.
Nausicaa differs from other main characters in Miyazaki's movies in that she is a true superhero. She is a master at combat, she is a skilled biologist and a inspiring leader. Main function of supporting cast is to exclaim "Hime-sama!" in impotent protest (or sometimes anguish). This is an early work of his (though it was no doubt impressive when published 1970) as is apparent from the less refined animations and character renderings, but still impressive.

A masterpiece! Action, psychology, subtlety,
great characters and large mechas. I found the biblical references
very interesting too. One of the few anime series that didn't get
worse towards the end.

Karja keeps raving about this one, dunno though, it never caught me. I like the
silent Rei character though, but beside that, I find it quite like all other anime
mecha series. But why is the hero always 14 yrs old? That always gets me.

Well, amusing at times, the ninja action is great. BUT how the HELL can they
put in a 40 METER TALL robot in the end of this one? Destroys the movie completely
in my taste.

This sucks, it really do. It is among the worst I have ever seen with bad ninja
action trying first to prevent satan to rise, failing that and then try to kill satan
that runs around killing people with his own intestines. Too much unsolicited violence
and gore and no story.
