This is a story in eight books. It's beeing held in a keltic Fantasy-world, and the essence of the story is reincarnation - that each soul is reborn in a new body when the old one dies. An old man called Nevyn - "No one" - 400 years ago committed a terrible crime against his beloved, Brangwen. The only way he can make up for it is to teach her the magical art of Dweomer! But Brangwen dies and is reborn many times throughout the years, every time as a new person, and every time Nevyn fails to teach her the magic. He himself can't die until his oath of repayment is fulfilled.

When the books starts is the current "Brangwen" called Jill and is the daughter of a Silver Dagger (soldier for rent). But you can also, through parallel stories, follow Nevyn's adventures during the centuries when he tried and failed to make Brangwen a master of Dweomer. Many of the other persons in the main story is also there in an earlier lifetime. Many destinies are being connected...

The series could have ended after the fourth book. Jill makes her final desicion and leaves her fiancee to study Dweomer with Nevyn. But it's not over. In the fifth book, Jill returns - now as an old woman - with a message...

Another plus for this story is that the elfs are there - magical beings with pointed ears - I've always had a weakness for those :)
