Dog Faced Gods have now found a new drummer. His name is Rickard Evensand who is also the drummer of the swedish metalband "Eyeball" featuring members of "Yngwie Malmsteen", "Talisman" and "Europe". He´s the new skinkiller of Dog Faced Gods and later the band will talk with him about him playing the drums on the next Ebony Tears album.

97/12/09:
It has now been announced that Iman Zolgharnian has left the band. He decided to do so a couple of days after the band had recorded the "Dog Faced Gods" promo. Right now the band is trying out new drummers. We will announce the new drummer´s name here when we get it...

On November 22 Dog Faced Gods will go into the studio and record two new songs,
"Room 18" and "Structural Damage". The songs
are a lot more agressive than the songs on
"Tortura Insomniae". This recording will be on a
promotion CD, and the songs will probably
be on the next album.

The band has deceided not to change name.
Instead Dog Faced Gods will be the member´s
sideproject. So Ebony Tears will probably release more records in the future.
Ebony Tears is going to keep their contract
with Black Sun Records, but Dog Faced Gods
will be on another label. Don´t know which one.

The members have talked about changing their bandname. The music they have made lately is very different from the music that can be heard on "Tortura Insomniae". The music has gotten more agressive. The bandname the members have been talking about is "Dog Face Gods". (Wich also is the name of one of the tracks on Testament´s record "Low".) The nameswitch is supposed to take place around the time the band record their next record...

97/10/11:
Ebony Tears are planning on changing recordlabel. Black Sun is having some problems distributing the record ("Tortura Insomniae"). The band has talked to another recordlabel, but at this time we can´t say what recordlabel it is, but we´ll post it here as soon as the band has signed with the new label... ...if they ever do...
