During the years I have
had a lot of Opel Mantas, very fun driving especially during wintertime.
Not always on the road though.
Chevrolet
1939 Fire Truck, bought in Blidsberg on an auction. Fixed to running condition
and it passed the test for road use before I sold it.
Ford Thunderbird
1959, I owned it for som years, took the engine to one of my -60 convertibles.
It is the wrong year model on this one. I only want 1960 Tbirds. So it
had to go.
Here is a
photo of a place that I used for working with my cars. The Cadillac on
the right was traded for an Olds F86. The Tbird on the left is the car
I am currently restoring. The two cars in the middle are sold.
This is the
Oldmobile I hade one summer, I think it had a Chevy engine.
I once had
an incomplete Chevy -57 4dht and I traded it for this one. An ElCamino
1959 with customized front (extremely ugly). It had a straight 6 and manual
trans. The engine froze during winter (a six cylinder engine is not worth
the cost of antifreeze, it has to be a V8 in an American car). I traded
it for a Ford Mustang HT -67 in parts (and poor condition) but with a very
strong V8 engine.
Here is
one photo of the Mustang. Very Swedish type of customizing from the seventies
with double rear lamps, lots of plastic pieces and much more.
This
is after some fixing up an a bit of garagepaint. After this I used it during
the winter as a daily driver, at that time I was studying at the Chalmers
University. (I had the Oldsmobile at the same time as seen in the background)
It was a very nice car to drive.
When I used the Mustang
I got an offer to trade it for this one. An El Camino 1971. With a restored
engine but not ready for driving. The trans broke down directly after I
got the engine working and when I had restored the trans (extremely dirty)
I was tired of the car and traded it for the Honda VF1000F motorcycle. This was 1991 and I kept the motorcycle until 2002.
A car I bought in Borås many years ago (I think it was 1988) and sold 1998.
