We are five resele
settelers that got the commission to create material to an revue due to
the millennium festival in the Tängsta hall in Resele. We had only two
month to write the show, fix the properties and rehearsal before the
opening. In the end we had material for a 40 minute show, and we are all
amateurs and had never stood on stage.
The dance band that we
had hired would comp us. We had trained some dance steps and at the
general rehearsal it was a catastrophe. Out of tempo and we couldn’t
recognise the music, but after a couple of hours of rehearsal we started
to play well together.
It was a great hit and we
were encourage to continue to create new year revues. We all got a great
will to take this further and it was fantastic to create something that
the audience appreciate and laugh at. We have produced 7 revues and 4
comedies during the years 1999 – 2005.
