Dr Taylor Hayes was the doctor who treated Caroline Spencer during her illness. After Caroline´s death Ridge and Taylor became very close. Ridge proposed but Taylor turned him down. Much because of his history with Brooke Logan. Brooke was married to Ridge´s father Eric. But Ridge and Brooke was drawn back together. After an accident which temporary blinded Eric Ridge decided not to break up their marriage. Taylor wanted time away from Ridge so she could find herself again. She went to ST. Thomas.
Ridge decided to go after her and he found out were she had gone. He surprised her but she wasn´t happy to she him.
They agreed to spend one day together. Ridge planned to make it so special so she would not be able to reject him. He also wanted to show her that she could trust him when he told her that he loved her.
Taylor had a wonderful day so she said yes to spend the evening with Ridge. He told her about his decision to leave Brooke and declared his love for Taylor. He proposed but she didn´t give him an answer.
The next day Ridge took her on a boat ride. At a secluded island he surprised her with a treasurehunt. After champagne, dinner and dance it was time for the last treasure...
a beautiful diamond ring. He asked her to marry him one more time. After he said the words...I Love You, she gave him her answer...YES...
