This page is no longer under construction, as it has been for a long time. It is now in a state of creative change instead.
Hello!
My name is Erik Sieurin - it is not pronounced as it's written in any living language, so don't you worry.
I was born in 1971 in a small town i northern Sweden. Right now I am trying to finish my exam, a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science, at the University of Borås, Sweden. I have studied languages earlier - English and Finnish, trying to concentrate my studies towards translation- and I hope to try what it is like to be a translator, interpreter or language teacher.
My interests are gardening, cooking, hiking, dilettante study of most academic subjects except economics and law, and roleplaying games - both live and over the tabletop. I read voraciously, but that is not a hobby or interest, it's an addiction.
And yes, my favorite animal, my "totem" if you wish, is the owl. I collect figurines, pictures and knicknacks connected to these lovely birds, and frequently go under aliases such as "owl", "uggla" (Swedish for owl, my dear non-Swedes), "strix" or "bubo" (the last being Greek or Latin terms, I cannot remember which, for various kinds of owl).
I hope to make this page a "useful" page. That is, I'll try to create much original text, and few links. There are already many good "link pages" with links to pages with good material about a particular subject, and many more BAD link pages, with links to things anyone can find anyway, and nothing else.
So far, the only USEFUL (by the most generous use of the word) material I have managed to put up is this:
I hope to put up other stuff as well, but that'll have to wait until I get an attack by worklust - a rare thing, unfortuneately.
(Whaddaya mean this page being too green? I like green, so there.)
