During a visit to Cyprus I made a reservation to go and see Zenobia which I had heard of back home. For the best stay in Cyprus I could recommend Protaras or Fig Tree Bay as it is also called. It is located north of Aiga Napa and has the clearest water you can ever imagine. Probably the best beach in all Mediteranean Sea. We ordered our divetrip with Herbie´s Diving Paradise. This is a great choise, with great staff and super owner. He was my Dive buddy during the Zenobia dives.

LEGEND: The swedish ``RO_RO Ferry ZENOBIA´´ sank on the 7th June 1980 on her way to Syria outside Larnaca Harbour with all her cargo (104 lorries) still on board to a depth of 42 meters. 

She lays in a ideal depth (16-42 meters) and is therefor an absolute must for every experienced diver. It was a malfunctioning ballast computer which made the ship tip on one side. No one in Cyprus could fix this problem and neither one in Syria so it was desided that the ship should move out of the port of Larnaca which is very shallow 5-10 meters. And after the crew and captain had abandonned the ship it sunk.
