The trip we took was from Eilat and the company was Manta Ray Dive. We where driven to the border of Egypt. And on the other side we had two jeeps with nomadic drivers waiting for us. We drove for about 3-4 hours and then we where in Sharm-al Sheik. We had one dive just before lunchtime. The diving is really special. Coming from the shore it is a bit tricky getting in and out of the water, because of the corals. At times we had to drag ourselves over the reef (30meters). Then at the end of the coral wall there came a drop down to about 6 meters and the rock drop-off went steeply down into the unknown.  We could see the bottom down to 30 meters depth. The places we dove was Ras nas Rani, Ras um Sid and on the way back Dahab with absolutely stunning coral formations. They looked like an earthquake had made them rumble. Our night quarters was at Sharksbay and I sleeped in a tent. I suggest you bring your own blanket. The ones we where given were probably the same ones they use for the camels (they smelled!). The food was good and the divemasters excellent.
