My first goal was to create a totally new design for my
That is done, and I appreciate any comments around both
graphical design, technical function and whether it´s easy or
difficult to find and view what you are looking for.
Second but most important goal is to show more items of
my rather large and diversified collection related to vintage
electronics. There is still a lot to photograph and add to the
different areas. I haven´t even created all pages to put them
on yet. I will go on working on this continously.
The top of the page is divided into two different and
defined sections. "Technicalities" and "Paperworks". The
first section contains information and pictures of the actual
technical items in my collection and the second section is
based on advertisment material and other paperworks about
radio & electronics, such as instruction booklets, servicebooks
and other publications. These two sections are divided into a
lot of subareas. Some of the subareas may be divided into
more subareas in it´s turn. The subarea "20´s & 30´s" under
the division "Technicalities" are divided into several subareas
each one will contain pictures and information about radios
made by different manufacturers or grouped in other ways
such as "Homemade" etc. This is of course just one example
and it contains only radios made by that manufacturer from
1920 to 1939. The subarea "40´s & 50´s" contains of course
later models of the same maker and the subareas "Portables",
"Radiograms" and "Transistors" may contain even more types
of the same maker suitable to be shown under each subarea.
The "Paperworks" section follows the same rules, so that a
salesbrochure from Telefunken showing their program for
1956-57 will be found under: "Paperworks" - "Brochures" -
"Telefunken" but an instructionbooklet for a 1957 Telefunken
radio will be found under: "Paperworks" - "Instructions" -
Due to respect for the copyright owners of papermaterial
different kinds only frontpages of brochures, schematics etc
will be shown. All pictures shown will be in such a small scale
and of such hard compression that they will be commercially
useless if copied. Most material is only displayed as a reference.
Photographs of radios and other things from collection
taken by me and thus of my own copyright control. No
commercial use whatsoever is allowed without my written
approwal. Strictly noncommercial use is OK. I appreciate to
be credited by name in such cases.
The arrows in the left column are buttons supplied to
other sections of my homepage. The first arrow says "Svenska"
and is supposed to take you to the Swedish version of my site.
No such version is avaliable yet. Although being Swedish and
favouring Swedishmade radios in my collection I still know
that most swedes read and understand at least some English
nowadays so I decided to start with the English version first.
Next arrow says "news" and any updates on the homepage
be listed chronologically here.
Third arrow is for "Articles": Only one right now: The
recordchangers from my old pages.
Fourth arrow leads to my link list. I will try to update
Fifth arrow says "Things to come" I added it to advert
appear on my page in the future, but that is yet things to come
that I haven´t decided.
Sixth arrow will give you a little info about me. I´ll finish that later.
That´s all. Please enjoy a little journey through
and industrial design.
