TOUR DATES / LINKS Izzy Stradlin took a break from the music business after finishing the world tour with the Ju Ju Hounds and returning for a brief period to GN'R in 1993. In late 1995 Izzy went to LA to spend some time with his old friend Duff McKagan. They soon found themselves in a studio. "We recorded ten songs in eight days. It got me excited about music again. I realized how easy the whole process could be. Those sessions were fun and painless. We just had a great time and didn't think too much about it."1 Those songs would later appear on Izzy's second solo album, "117o", which was released on March 10, 1998. Izzy did only a couple of interviews and no gigs to support the album. On December 16, 1999, Izzy's third solo album, "Ride On" was released in Japan. He had the same band as on "117o", ie Duff McKagan on bass, Rick Richards on guitar and Taz Bentley on drums. This time he did a small tour to promote the album. In 2001 a fourth album was released, "River". SOURCES |
