The set was mainly in the other post but it was a total of 20 songs, all of Appetite except You're Crazy and Anything Goes, yes that means they did THINK ABOUT YOU! Also did Patience (acoustic/electric), LALD, November Rain, YCBM, KOHD (just like the Dylan original, much better to hear a different version of it after all these years).
The five new songs were Oh My God, The Blues, Silk Worms, Chinese Democracy, and possibly Oklahoma (not sure though). My favorite of them was Chinese Democracy, but Silk Worms was cool, they did it as an encore and it somewhat techno, but still rocks hard.
The crowd was totally into the show on the floor, even though most of us had been waiting in line for at least five hours before the show. Security was extremely tight, everyone was frisked twice and the security scanned the crowd all show for cameras.
Buckethead really impressed me, he was able to do all of Slash's solo, unlike Robin Finck, the band had only a few mixups during songs but they sure didn't seem like this was their first show.
Axl was in a very good mood, they even had an animation to open the show of Axl wishing everyone Happy New year, but it was making fun of all the rumors surrounding him over the past few years, especially the Rolling Stone article.

Did Paul Tobias play?
Yes paul played, he was quite good, he even played acoustic guitar on Patience. Axl talked about how Paul had stuck with him for the last 7 years and tried to help him for the new band. It was the first time I had ever seen of Paul. He was walking around the stage before the show, no one knew what he looked like. Axl mentioned that also, how now people would know what he looks like, which is kinda like Axl but with shorter hair.

How long did they play for?
They played from about 3:30 Am to 5:35 am.

Did Axl say much?
Axl talked a little about how he hasn't performed in 7 years since he had to deal with emotional problems and because he had been taking a nap for 8 years. He also talked about how he wrote a new song, I believe it was Chinese Deomcracy, after watching some movie, I missed the name of the movie but he was talking about the Dalai Lama [the movie was "Kundun"]. Axl seemed in a very good mood to me.

Would you say they are as good or compairable to old gnr?
I will say that this was my 6th GNR show and it was my favorite, because Axl sounded great, the band was good, great setlist, small club. I think this band is better than GNR in '92, and after only one show together these guys are a damn good band but they can't compare to GNR from AFD days, its different but still good.

What did Axl wear and what did he look like?
Axl looked like he is in good shape, he has been lifting weights or something like it. He has all his hair and isn't fat, like alot of the rumors over the years. He wore tennis shoes, a button up shirt with a chinese dragon or something on it (he wore another after halfway through the show since he was sweating) and I believe adidas workout pants (not sure though). Also he had on sunglasses at first.

What kind of musicSTYLE was the 5 new songs?
Rock. They were mainly hard rock, the song right before Paradise City, supposedly called Silk Worms sounded kinda techno but it stilll rocked hard. The song The Blues had Dizzy on the piano, and was a little more mellow, but it still had fast-slow parts in it (kinda like Estranged).

How many people saw the show (approx)?
Around 2,000, it was a small club.

Was the show taped in any way, officially (MTV, PPV.. etc)?
There were three camera men that had a feed to the huge screen behind the band and all the tv's all over the stage, but I don't think it was taped for any PPV. There was a japanese film crew there that was filming the crowd and were onstage whent he band came out, I 'm not sure how much they were allowed to tape.

Were there any band solos and/or did Axl frequently leave the stage as he's prone to do?
It seemed like Axl left the stage to put the attention on the other guys, he could be seen on the side watching the band and SMILING! Buckethead did a little dance/numchuck thing while Brain played a short drum solo. Then Buckethead did his own guitar solo (lots of fingertapping). He also did another short solo as an intro to, I think it was Paradise City, but I'm not sure.

Any noticeable camraderie between the new band members or do they come off as hired guns paid to do a job?
I'll say Tommy Stinson looked like he was having alot of fun, especially during Out Ta get Me, he was jumping alot on that one.

How was Axl's voice and timing?
He was great, I didn't notice him mess up the words, but he had the teleprompter right in front. Besides if he forgot the words, all he had to do was listen to the crowd sing.

Were any projectiles hurled at the stage? How tight was security?
All I saw was one thing a mardi gras beads, but luckily it came nowhere near Axl. Security was very tight!

What about Axl's voice? How did he managed to sing the whole 2 hours set... Did his voice "survive" this?
He sounded great, he survived the whole set, he even managed all of YCBM which I couldn't.

How did the band sound with 3 guitar players...? Who played the greatest solos?
They sounded great, Buckethead was by far the best.

What's your opinion about the 5 new songs?
Of the five new songs I think Oh My God sounded the worst. The Blues, Chinese Democracy and Silk Worms (the technoish one in the encore) were great
