Buckethead is a mystery to many. On stage he wears a chicken container and a mask, his exact age isn't know (he's believed to be around 30) and in an article it said that he was half man/half chicken! When rumors about Buckethead joining GN'R surfaced, all this made a lot of the GN'R fans worried about him being to strange and having a too individual style for the band. But on January 1, 2001 no one needed to be worried anymore.
   Buckethead did his first gig with GN'R at the Las Vegas House Of Blues, and most fans seemed to take him to their hearts.

Buckethead grew up in California and started playing guitar when he was 12. He was a member of the LA-based band Deli Creeps. His reputation grew and legendary Bootsy Collins came in contact with him through the drummer of Limbomaniacs, who called himself Brain. The three formed Praxis together with Bernie Worrell and Lord of the Paradox. Different versions of Praxis recorded four albums that mixed everything from hard rock to funk.
   Apart from Praxis and Deli Creeps, Buckethead has released several solo-albums, played on a number of soundtracks and recorded under the names of Death Cube K and Cobra Strike.
   Buckethead joines GN'R (probably in 1999) after being invited to a christmas party by Axl.
