THE OLDEST OF THEM ALL
Not far from Falköping, where SKV´s 25th Anniversery Show took place, there is a little lake called Horborgasjön (sjö=lake) Every year thousands of cranes come there to rest during their journey from Spain to northern Sweden.
This area is one of the oldest culture-areas in Sweden, and there is not only cranes.
These dog bones are from a dog of spitz-type. I wouldn´t dare to call it Vestgotaspitz, but on the other side I don´t know what to call a dog, found in Västergötland...

By Hornborgasjön there were quite many villages about 9000 years ago. In some of them people buried their dogs. Over the dead dogs there was a red powder, red occra, which consists of  soil with iron in it.
One of the dogs was buried 9000 years ago, and is the oldest known domesticated dog in Sacndinavia.
