I’m a geek and I’m proud of it too. I’m into retro stuff and old school computer platforms, mainly the Atari 16/32-bit line, and the Commodore Amiga.
I’m chairman of the Swedish Atari Club (SAK), and one of the organizers behind the Nordic Atari Show (NAS).
People often ask me why I’m so into this stuff. What’s the point? I’d like to compare it to classic cars. It’s not practical. It’s not necessarily a smooth ride. But just like you can pop the hood on a classic car and get grease on your fingers, these old school machines let you get down to business and do stuff which just isn’t applicable to modern machines.
It’s also a great way to learn stuff about computers and programming with limited resources at hand.
