         Exact, spherically-symmetric, space-time separable solutions are found to the classical electrodynamic equations (Maxwell's equations and conservation of charge, mass and momentum). The algebra involved in the solution of this nonlinear system of partial differential equations is formidable but, surprisingly enough, the final solution turns out to be simple expressions in elementary analytical functions, which in the paper are further verified by back substitution into the original equations. The stationary solutions obtained as a special case are also shown to be consistent with the virial theorem.
         The algebraic derivation of the solutions is presented in detail as commented computer print-outs from the symbolic mathematics platform MapleV release 2 (except for the discussion in Sect A2). The original Maple output was filed as Appendix A in British Patent Application GB 9515039.7 (21 July, 1995).
