Åsa Johansson
has played the saxophone since a bet in high school. Founded
the quartet together with Gerd-Marie in 1995. Nourishes a
certain affection for the soprano saxophone. Dreams of
trying a contra bass saxophone. Believes that joy is the
very most important foundation of music and finds this joy
in different contexts in jazz, Swedish folkmusic and world
music, west African rhythms and student band
music.

Ragna Stridsberg is the newest member of the quartet and blew her way into the group in January 1999. Has a past as a classical clarinet player but has also contributed to several big bands during her days. Very fond of sports and enjoys having her hands full. Is the proud mother of Tova who loves to infect her mother and her mother's friends with various viruses and bacterias. |

Gerd-Marie Alenius also has been a member since the beginning. Known to always be late to Spring dinner since having to take care of various injuries of participants in the "Spring Run". Finally bought a new tenor saxophone this fall and is no longer recognizable. |

Hanna Westerlund joined the quartet in May 1998. Has tried one or two things in Arvidsjaur and is the most experienced quartet player of all ladies. Plays preferably the alto but has easily adapted to the barytone saxophone. Studying to become a boss and practises her new-won knowledge as soon as she gets an opportunity. Life goals include learning to play the guitar and to speak French. |
