The Music of Erik Satie

It's not my intention to build another webpage on the world's most eminent phonometrographist. There are many sources on the web which you can easily locate at any Search Engine. I do, however, take a certain pride in having collected every Satie MIDI file I have stumbled across, and these are listed here for your listening and downloading pleasure.

Be forwarned --- I have modified the instrumentation on some of these files to suit other purposes! To return them to the original form, simply set all instruments to "piano".

If you know of any other Satie MIDI files, or can produce some, please send me email at garym@canada.com!

Artist! Artists!

It is a sad fact that in the music-print business, the composer gets all the glory (and a good portion of the royalties) while the performer gets next to nil. To help correct that, here is a list of the MIDI masters who have contributed to this page ... if you can identify any of the unknown sources, please send me email
  1. Niclas Fogwall
  2. Philip DeWalt
  3. Voyetra sample file (file claims to be a Chopin Nocturn!)
  4. John Cowles
  5. David Cooke
  6. David Siu
  7. Contributed by Andreas Rütten
