Before the earth was God existed. He decided to create mankind, which would live in peace with him. During six days the earth was shaped with all it´s beauty. The earth became a wonderful place. Here could the man live in harmony with the Creator.

Then God created man - male and female. He put her to live on earth in a open union with him self. But man was given a free will and could choose not to walk with God and instead walk her own way. God had declared that all wonderful upon earth would change if she walked away from Him and if she did what was wrong.

Knowing all about this, she yet said no to her God and Father and went the wrong way. A darkness that swept over the world and all contact with the Creator disapperared. An emptiness filled man and the destructive took overhand. Now war, murder, lie and destructive things entered the stage in the emptiness without God.

But God loved man so much that He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth, to die on a cross for all humans. When Jesus died, he took all our faults and defects so that we could be forgiven and again be united with God through Him.

When we pray that Jesus shall come into our lives our sin disapperars and we can again live in union with God. When we die we will come to heaven. Jesus died for us so that we would be spared from the eternal death and instead get eternal live.

This it what it means to be a christian.
