Barcode List.
The information below is for Barcode Maker v5.xx The Barcode List is used to be able to make more than one bar code image in one run. If you only need to make one bar code at the time it's also possible.
Barcode Maker has a list where you will be able to add your products, so that you only have to fill in the product information once and then you will be able to just click on the product and the barcode will be made.
Each list can contain no less that 32,000 products, but you will be able to have more than one list as they can be saved individually and you will be able to merge one or more lists as long as the total number of products in the merged list isn't more than 32,000
If you already have a list of products and want to load it into Barcode Maker you will be able to do so by converting it into the *.BK2 file format used by Barcode Maker. In the setup of Barcode Maker a "How to..." file is included that shows how to convert a *.XLS (MS Excel) file to a *.TXT file in the *.BK2 file format and how to load it. Almost any file type could be converted to work with Barcode Maker.
The input for the Barcode List can be made using the input function in Barcode Maker or one of the following options.
- Input in Barcode Maker
- Convert a MS Excel spreadsheet
- Make a TAB delimited text file
- Use Barcode XL to make the *.bk2 file
Make a Barcode List from a file.
What you need to think about when making a Barcode List are.
- Column A, the Product/Item information
- Column B, the Bar code characters
- Column C, the Digit supplement
- Column D, Free text
- Column E, Barcode Type (known as List Code)
If you are making a TAB delimited *.bk2 file you need to fill in a TAB between every column, the [TAB] is press the Tab key on your keyboard, e.g.

The above only contains the Product and bar code and the List Code. You must have at least Bar code and List Code or your Barcode List will not work.

If you want to make more than one barcode at once then all you have to do is to select the products from the barcode list, hold down the Ctrl key and then click on the products to choose, this way you can select single products or by clicking on the first product you want to make a barcode for and then holding down the Shift key and select the last product you want to make a barcode for you can select a range of products and then save the barcodes for the products.
If you right click in the Barcode List you will have more options when selecting from the Barcode List.

Find product in Barcode List.
If you need to find a product in the Barcode List you can use the find option. You will be able to save the item or items found as a *.BK2 file so that the next time you will be able to load just the product you made the search for. You will also be able to double click on one of the items and have the barcode made, as always fast and easy.
The search can be made for any input option and you will be able to choose one or more options in one search.
