4 CDR. A+.

Personnel for the Japan tapes is same for Live in Japan: Ron 'Byrd' Foster/vocals, drums; John Harrison/bass, vocals; Malcolm Lukens/keybds; Roy.
from master reel -> cassette -> CDR.

CD 1: Live in Japan LP: Soul Dressing, Sweet Honey Dew, Hey Joe/Foxy Lady, Slow Down, Lonely Nights, Blues Otani, My Baby Says She's Gonna Leave Me, Sweet Dreams
outtakes: Sweet Dreams, Soul Dressing (dublicates of the LP tracks??).

CD 2: More outtakes: Rocker, Thrill is Gone, blues, Further on Up Road, Sweet Dreams, Soul Dressing (same as on LP w/out dubbed applause), improv/Since You've Been Gone; end of outtakes, begin compilation of misc tracks: JB Goode (source unknown); Caruso (from Street Called Straight).

CD 3: Slow Down, Hey Joe/Foxy Lady, Soul Dressing, Lonely Nights, I Hear You Knockin, Sunshine of Your Life, blues, Change My Mind, The Messiah.

CD 4: 'Cadenza': Two tracks of Guitar Cadenza, circa 1977.

someone said: "the source tapes that were supplied for this might be from the master soundboard source. Example: on Japan #2 CD 1st song entitled 'Rocker' is not mixed and as the set moves forward the mix gets better. So probably this wouldn't be from the 2 track flat masters because they would be fully mixed from the multi-tracks. So you be the judge.
Also the two tracks entitled 'Guitar Cadenza' are not outtakes or alternative versions. They are the original master takes that Atlantic used to splice & mix 'Guitar Cadenza' for the L.P. 'A Street Called Straight'. Since we don't have actual first hand tape box notes for the above mentioned, these are our deductions not actual facts."
