THE COMMING OF LUGEM

The comming of Lugem

Cazic-Thule be praised. I was sitting by my warm campfire in the vast stretch of land called ‘The Commonlands', eating a half roasted Gnome. Thinking about how far we've come since the fall of Gnobb, the old Troll city that was built in the Innothule swamp far down in the south, on the other side of the ‘ Desert of Ro '. As I carved a juicy piece of meat from the Gnome leg with my curved, serrated butcher's knife I remembered my youth years as an apprentice in the Broken Skull Clan. The traditional worship of the teachings of Innoruuk, the many hours spent chanting prayers and spells, the brutal beating when you didn't listen quickly enough, this has been the practice for the last 500 years, but trolls are still very savage and aggressive a trait that trolls never seams to lose.

The Broken Skull Clan sent me to Freeport to train in the skills of a warrior. Cazac-Thule be prised, the Overlord is a fair master. As I entered the city the city guards guided me to an evil Ogre whose name sounded like Pojek when he barked it in the ogre toung, and there they offered me two choices, either join the Black Legion or die. “I have to think about it” I said with a smile that showed my sharp glistening teeth. A big Orge stepped up sword in hand and looked grim at me, then he broke out in a great laughter, this was Pojek, he was the Commander of an evil mercenary horde of creatures from all races and it was called The Black Legion. “Will you join us?” Pojek asked, “Can I eat what I kill?” I asked back, “Eat as much as you want as long as it isn't Black Legionnaires!” Pojek said.

I have now served Pojek and his Legion for many years now and we have slain and eaten many enemies during our years of combat against the good side of the queen in Qeynos. I have begun the mastering of armour crafting to fill the armoury as the legion needs much armour and weapons. Most of the legionnaires tend to get a second skill on the side of being a legionnaire, this is necessary to sustain the horde with food and supplies, the rest we sell to gain gold.

The overlord is pleased with us. Long live the Overlord.
