American infantry and M-10 Tankdestroyer moves forward in Normandy 1944. 37 000 allied and 23 000 german soldiers were killed in Normandy. Almost 95 percent of the allied soldiers were infact killed after D-day in the terrible fighting in the Bocage and on the fields around Caen, Falaise and Mortain. Almost half of all the germans killed in Normandy were infact killed during August in the Falaise-salient.
