This is an old (and pretty shitty) interview with perkele from 2000. After "Från Flykt Till Kamp" and just before "Voice Of Anger". Anyways, enjoy!

Oi! Ron & Perkele, how long have you guys been around now?

Ron- We have been playing for 7 years and that's great.


Many have noticed that you have released a new Cd "Voice of Anger" what do you think of this Cd, is it better then the previous material? Any great changes? And why should the audience buy it?

Ron- The audience should buy it coz it is great Oi! And the best record we ever made. This record is more rock ´n roll, more aggressive, more wellplayeded and a real kick in the face on the scum!


Any changes in the lineup since last time you were around with the Cd "workingclass"?

Ron- we have now a new great bassplayer and are looking for a new drummer. If someone's interested, mail me (bootboy96@hotmail.com) The other members quit because they was tired of playing Oi!


Many have accused Perkele of being influenced by nazi/fencewalker bands beacuse of the powerful music and lyrics on "Från Flykt Till Kamp" what is your reaction toward this? Do you have politics involved in your music?

Ron- No, I don't listen to that kind of music. Only if they think that Ultima Thule is a nazi-band. I think not!
About politics: I think that politics are sick and make people to do weird things. Politics in many ways are like sects, I don't like sects. Im proud of my country, working class, culture and of being a skinhead!!! That's all.


Do yo have any plans for more gigs in the future? Where and when?

Ron- I don´t really know yet, but I have got some mails About gigs but nothing ready. We´ll see.


What is your opinion of the swedish Skinhead scene? Is too big? Too many freshcuts? Good?

Ron- I love the Swedish skinhead scene and it´s good to us too. More visitors on the gigs, more people who buys the record and more friends to hang around with.


Where do you take your influences from when you make your music and lyrics?

Ref- I don't know when I write the lyrics. I have never been thinking about it. But the music that influence me most are bands like Templars, Super yob, early skrewdriver and American aggro Oi! Bands like: Stormwatch, Moloko men and Soldier 76.


Any future plans?

Ron- A new record or a vinyl Ep. It´s going to be a real Skinhead Oi! Record. I have wrote a few songs allredy.


And are you going to drink beer with me again Ron this years Hultsfred?

Ron-I don´t know what´s happening. If I don,t i come for a visit to Umeå and drink beer and booze with you mate.

Hultsfred 2000 - Great people, great music, great people to punsh on the nose and Oi! As fuck!!!

Dropkick Murphys - I don´t really know, little like Rancid and I don't like Rancid so much. But they have dun a few really great songs.

Bombshell Rocks - I don't care about them and they don't care about us, I think!??

D.I.Y - It´s a must if you want to do something.

SHARP - I really don't know?
