Carl-Harry Stålhane

Carl-Harry Stålhane
(1920-1990).
One of Swedens top ceramic artists. He studied for Isaac Grunevald in Stockholm and as sculptor in Paris. Stålhane worked for Rorstrand 1939-1973. He is known for his stoneware pieces in harmonic forms with unique glazes. In 1973 C-H Stalhane established his own studio. Represented at the National Museum, Stockholm, Industrial Arts Museum in Copenhagen, and the New York Museum of Modern Art etc.

I have been collecting stoneware and 20th century ceramics from Scandinavia for 20 years. Gunnar Nylund

Gunnar Nylund
(1904-1997)
Nylund was born in Paris and studied in Finland and Denmark. He began his ceramics career in Denmark at Bing & Grondahl. He worked with Nathalie Krebs at Saxbo. In 1931-1937 G Nylund was artistic director at Rorstrand and remained there until 1956. After that Nylund worked as a freelance designer. His unique stoneware is inspired by chinese pottery and have classic glazes like haresfure. He produced vases, bowls and artistic animalsculptures. Represented in Gothenburg Museum of Art, at the National Museum, Stockholm and in museums all over Scandinavia and Europé.
