The technique to use Foam as a diving collar instead of Deerhair ( Dahlberg Diver ) was originally developed by the famous Flyfisherman/Flytier Skip Morris
Hook : Gamakatsu F-314 size 2/0
Tail : White Bigflyfiber/Hairibou mixed with Pearl Chrystalflash , UV/Pearl Flashabou and some strands of Mirage/ Opal/Pearl
Body : Pearl Flashchenille
Divingcollar : Foam 2 mm in eighter white or yellow ( the foam is shaped with a scissors to get the right diving collar shape )
The foam is tyed in at the head and folded backwards to be attatched a little bit back of the middle of the hook with the tyingthread.
Tyingthread : Clear Mono.
To get the foam a little harder shell i often give it a layer of softbody.
Good Luck
