A really good movie that made me think a lot
about a very good friend of mine back home in Stockholm. Her (Hella), another friend named
Johanna and me used to be the witches of Eastwick. I was the one with long dark hair,
Hella was the redhead and Johanna were the blonde. I decided to go back to long and dark
when I saw it.
Gone
with the Wind
When I was a kid and I got sick I would lend
the movie from my neighbors. I loved it. I still love it. Scarlet is a kick ass lady! This
epic story takes place in the South before, during and after the civil war. It's all done
with nothing else than perfection in mind.
Shakespeare
in Love
I love Shakespeare. I love the era, the
language and everything about England at that time. And I fell in love with Joseph Finnes.
This is probably not how it really happened but it's fun to see how they work with the
complexity of Shakespeare in this very playful way. They deserved every Oscar they got.
Dirty
Dancing
A classic. I still get all giggly when I watch
it. Baby goes on vacation with her family and grows up to be Francis with a little help of
a sexy dance instructor. The dance instructor learns about the man he wants to be.
Pride
and Prejudice
It is actually a BBC miniseries based on Jane
Austen's book. I loved it and I can see all episodes in one sitting, no problem. The love
story and how the movie represents the era impresses me and they way they talk! And how
polite they were... It's very romantic.
