POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS
are the words for 'my', 'your', 'our' etc. In OIcel. they are:

There are no possessive pronouns for the 3rd person (except the reflexive one, used when the subject of the phrase is the owner, i.e. when the owner can be translated 'his own', 'her own' etc.), only for the 1st and 2nd. The 3rd person uses the genitive forms of the personal pronouns, which are not inflected. Those of the 1st and 2nd person do look a lot like the genitive forms of the personal pronouns, but they are called possessive pronouns.
The endings are those of the strong adjective inflection, except in the acc. sing. masc., where the ending is -n.

• minn, þinn and sinn
Minn has the stem mín-, but when the vowel is followed by /nn/ or /tt/, it's shortened into min-. The same thing goes for þinn and sinn.

• várr
is inflected as follows. The stem is usually vár-, but in some cases (the u-umlauted ones) there is an old variant ór-. There is also a variant stem oss-, but it's very old and only found in poetry.
