SKAVEN SPECIAL ABILITIES AND MUTATIONS

These abilites take up a magic item slot but doesn't count as a magic item for the purpose of Ring of Corin and similiar items or spells. However if a model is wielding the Sword of Destruction he cannot have any abilities. Skaven Assassins are allowed to buy a single Clan Eshin only ability. Champions may buy a Clan ability to make them in line with their unit, this ability may be bought in addition to a single magic item or another ability. Note that Skaven Warlocks belong to Clan Skryre, with the exception of the Grey Seer. Grey Seers cannot buy clan specific abilities. A character may not buy abilities from more than one clan. If you use my Themed Armylists the clan abilities have already been taken into account and may not be bought again, you cannot have a Plague Lord with T6.

Beastmaster - 5 pts
The character belong to Clan Moulder, the beasthandlers, and the character is effectivly a member of Clan Moulder for all purposes. He can ride a monster from the monster list, including a Rat Ogre at a cost of 43 pts or Ratwolf at +14 pts. He count as a Pack Master and can be fielded as a lone Pack Master if you wish, the pack creatures are still bought as regiments. In addition the characters LD is increased to 8 if he is a member of a pack, including if he is a the only Pack Master. A champion may buy this ability in addition to a single magic item or Skaven ability but his LD is not increased.
Clan Moulder ability

Disciple of Pestilens - 50/75 pts
The character belong to Clan Pestilens and his body is ridden with diseases, rotten skin and his pain treshold has increased. The characters Toughness is increased by +1 and the model is effectivly a member of Clan Pestilens for all purposes. At a cost of 75 pts the model may also be subject to Frenzy. The Disciple of Pestilens can be combined with the Resilient ability for T+2. A champion may buy this ability in addition to a single magic item or Skaven ability, but he only pay 10 pts and get T+1 and Frenzy. A model that is already a member of Clan Pestilens, EG Lord Skrolk or a Plague Priest, may not buy this ability as they already have it.
Clan Pestilen ability

Assassin Adept - 30 pts
The Skaven is a fully trained assassin of Clan Eshin and is capable of superhuman feats and train to operate alone or with a small group of Gutter Runners. The Skaven is effectivly a Clan Eshin member for all purposes. The Skavens Movement is increased by +1 and he has a special dodge save of 5+ against each hit. The Skavens Leadership is raised to 8 when he is alone or with a unit of Gutter Runners. A Gutter Runner Champion may buy this ability in addition to a single magic item or Skaven ability, but his LD is not raised. The general may not be a member of Clan Eshin unless the whole army is made up of Gutter Runner units or Ratswarms, IE a special scenario. An Assassin may not buy this ability.
Clan Eshin ability

Rat Ogre Bodyguard - 50 pts
The character is the proud owner of a Clan Moulder trained Rat Ogre bodyguard. The Rat Ogre has the same stats as a normal Rat Ogre and is still subject to Stupidity. As long as the Rat Ogre is in basecontact with the character it is immune to Stupidity. The Rat Ogre can accept challenges on behalf of the character.

Fearless - 15 pts
The character is not impressed by fearsome monsters, he hunts them down and drag them back to the Hell Pit for breeding! The character is immune to Fear and Terror caused by monsters.
Clan Moulder only

Monstermaster - 50 pts
The character can join a loose unit of monsters and goad them through the battle. The unit can reroll a failed Bound Monster test. The unit is not a pack and as stated in the rules the unit cannot use the characters LD. If the monsters deserts as a result of a failed Bound Monster the character may choose to leave the unit and stay in place.
Clan Moulder only.

Thick fur - 5 pts
The characters Save is increased by +1,the model suffer no additional movement penalty. The Save may not be increased to better than 1+.

Black Hunger - 25 pts
The character will lapse more easily into the Skaven killing frenzy known as the Black Hunger. He is subject to Frenzy.

Tinkerer - 10 pts
The character has tinkered with his handgun or pistol to increase its range. Each time the model uses its missile weapon add an artillery dice to the range of the weapon. However on a misfire the weapon explodes and the model takes a hit as if hit by the weapon. If the weapon explodes it is useless for the rest of the game. This ability may only be used with a hand gun, pistol, jezzail or any other gunpowder or warplock weapon.
Clan Skryre only

Lighning thrower - 20 pts
The model is able to throw throwing stars at an incredible speed. The model may throw as many throwing stars as he has attacks. This ability includes enough throwing stars to last the entire game.
Clan Eshin only

Many arms - 25/50 pts
The model is a mutant and has grown extra arms. One arm cost 25 pts and the model may carry an additonal hand weapon giving +1 Attacks or a shield giving +1 Save. Two arms cost 50 pts and the model may carry an additional hand weapon and shield for +1 Attacks and Save+1 or two additonal hand weapons for +2 Attacks or two additonal shields for +2 Save. The save may not be increased to better than 1+. The cost of the mutation includes the cost for handweapons and shields.

Two heads - 25 pts
The character is a mutant with two heads and can thus look in two separate directions. The characters charge arc is increased to 180 degrees, but he cannot use this increased arc if he is with a unit. In addition the models Iniative is increased by +2. If this ability is combined with the Many arms mutation the model may fire two missile weapons in the same turn.

No honour - 10 pts
If the Skaven character is challenged he will duck away and hide as a clanrat. The character is not moved to the rear ranks and may continue to fight. However he may only use a single attack and may not use magic items, including a magic weapon, as that would give him away as a character. The model may not be singled out for an attack, even if he is in base contact with a character, he simply cannot be attacked. Once the character has decided to hide among the clanrats he may not revert back to full character status until the combat is over, IE one side breaks and flees. In addition if the character is the general other units may not use his Leadership. A Battle standard bearer may not have this ability as he is an obvious target carrying a large standard. If a wizard uses this ability he may not cast or dispell spells, but may store a Winds of Magic card. This ability only works in a unit of Clanrats, Stormvermin or Plague Monks. The character may of course not ride a monster or otherwise be substantially larger than the unit he tries to hide in.

White fur - 15 pts
A born leader among Skaven is marked by his white or grey fur and will boost the morale of the Skaven around him. If the character is in a unit its LD is increased by +1, up to a maximum of 10.

Black Fur - 35 pts
A natural born killer among Skaven is marked by his black fur. The Characters Attacks and Weapon Skill is increased by +1.

Lightning Reflexes - 5 pts
The characters reflexes are unnaturally fast and he has an Initiative of 10.

Swift feeted - 5 pts
TheAssassin is remarkable fast and his Movement is increased by +1.
Clan Eshin only

Swiftness - 10 pts
The Assassin moves swiftly even among enemie and the character can always march even if within 8" of an enemy.
Clan Eshin only

Hide in shadows - 60 pts
The Assassin know how to make the best use of cover and shadows and an enemy unit or model that want to charge, shoot or cast spell at the Character must first spot him on a D6 roll of 5+. The character can't use this ability if in a unit or in combat.

Cloud of Flies - 30 pts
The character is surrounded by a cloud of buzzing flies. The flies will get in the eyes of enemy models. Any model in basecontact with the character suffers a -1 penalty to all to hit rolls. Members of Clan Pestilen or followers of Nurgle are immune to this effect.

Hideous Appearence - 35 pts
The Characters body is ridden with open sores, numerous pus spilling blisters and his rotting flesh is likely to come off any minute. The character causes Fear.
Clan Pestilen only

Tail Attack - 25 pts
The character can use his tail as a weapon and increases his attacks by+1.

Massive Horns - 25 pts
The character is a mutant with massive horns. The character gain an additional attack in the turn he charges, this attack is not doubled for any reason such as Frenzy or Deathfrenzy.
