Northern Territory - Katherine

Katherine is located not far south of Darwin at Stuart Hwy. The tropical climate has begun and the landscape is more green than it is more down south.

Only 30km east from the town of Katherine is Katherine Gorge, a fantastic place. Here you can walk around the gorge and enjoy the view of it, or take a cruise on River Grace that flows in the gorge.

There are many nice places to stay at and look at and do things at around Katherine. One is to have a swim in the Edith Falls lake. It is like a natural pool and the water is very clear and fresh. The only thing is that crocodiles also can be visiting the water up here. So be careful!
