Kulturen (Open air museum in Lund)
One of the countriy's biggest and finest open air museums,
established in 19th century by a stubborn Lundian,
Georg Karlin.
It is situated in the middle of town, - which is quite unique
for a museum like that. Inside you can see runestones dating back to the
Viking Age, cottages with turf roofs, an old wooden church -where it is
popular to get wed even today - country houses, old farms, shops,
jailhouse and manorhouses from different parts of Southern
Sweden; some of them representing historical Lund.
The museum shows exhibitions including collection of china, glass, silverware and textiles.
