Nicolas Cage is a P.I. who handles a case where he has to find a girl in a so called "snuff"-movie. Sometimes very exciting and disturbing, but most of the time pretty boring.

FUCKING ÅMÅL
The directing is superb and the young actors make a surprisingly good job! The story is simple and typical for this kind of film, but in some way it grabs your full attention. Great!

HALLOWEEN- TWENTY YEARS LATER
Halloween 1978 was the first slaughter weekend. Now it´s twenty years later. Guess who´s coming to dinner?
H20 is OK. In this period when the horror movies has come back, it´s not surprising that they have made yet another movie about Michael Myers. It was expected, if I may say so. So I sat down with no higher expectations to watch this movie. And I found it to be OK. No more, no less.

RONIN
Robert De Niro, Jean Renó and the Swedish superstar Stellan Skarsgård play the main characters in this cool action movie. Great car chasing scenes and superb actors! Some scenes was not so good, but who cares? The movie was thrilling most of the time! Good music score, by the way!

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
People say that Spielbergs latest movie "Saving private Ryan" is very authentic and realistic. It´s not me to decide, I haven´t been to war. But I can say that this movie is very nauseous and gruesome. Well made and intense movie, one of Spielbergs better ones since "Schindler´s list".
If you easily feel sick watching blood and body parts, avoid this picture!

THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT
Despite what many people say, I think this is a very good movie!! But you have to take this movie for what it is; a fake documentary made with a minimum budget and lots of enthusiasm. Expect no spectacular special effects or amazing stunt sequences! The directors and actors have created a very creepy atmosphere, which is very rare in horror movies today.
A tip: Check out the movie´s homepage before you go and see it! Especially the history of the Blair witch.

THE MATRIX
"Well designed action sequences accompanied with cool music". This sentence describes "Matrix" very well. What can I say about the story? It goes something like this. Our world as we see it, is a computer generated world. Everything is an illusion, the environment and the people in it. The REAL world is a dark, decayed world, a result of the nuclear war. But there´s a small group of people, who don´t belong to this world of illusion. They are the rebels, the world saviours... and so on. Everything is a mish mash of amazing action scenes, religion, rock music, sunglasses and philosophy.

THE MUMMY
I was full of expectations when I sat down to watch "The Mummy". It mostly depended on the passion I have for this kind of movies. And it could have been a great movie, if they had skipped 80-90% of the jokes (some of the lines were very corny). But I suppose the younger kids have to have their piece of the cake...

THERE´S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY
If you liked "Dumb and dumber" and "Kingpin" you should definitely go and see this movie! Ben Stiller who directed and starred in "Reality Bites" plays the lead role as a geek, who´s in love in Cameron Diaz. Funny!

THE TRUMAN SHOW
Jim Carrey in a serious movie? Yes, in "The Truman Show" he gets the chance to play a serious character, for once. And he does it well, if you ask me. OK, the old Carrey shines through on and then, but yet his acting is different from his other films. Intelligent, funny and tragic.

THE WATERBOY
Adam Sandler plays a retarded waterboy working for a football team, but turns out to be an excellent football player. Of course, at the end he wins the game, gets the girl and everything is perfect! But who cares about the story? Still, it gives you some good laughs!
