This is where you can find all the Liero goodies!!! Liero (the game), Wormhole - the first unofficial Liero Level Editor, LGE and the Liero Blood Icreaser!!!

Liero 1.33

The main reason you came to this page might have been to download Liero. If you came here without really knowing I'm going to give you a short presentation of Liero.
Liero is a really popular game both in Finland where the creators of Liero are from, and in the rest of the world. Liero is "An earthworm simulation game based on a real physical model.", as the authors of the game describes it. You play with a friend or against the computer on a so-called "split screen". The game looks a lot like Worms 1, but in Liero you are playing in "real-time" instead of turn-based and that makes Liero really interesting. Liero is a DOS game, with games such as Quake III today you might hessitate when you hear this. That's what I did the first time I heard about the game. But once I tried it I was "hooked". The game is highly customizable, you can change most things such as Lives, Health, Reloading Times for your Weapons, Player colors and so on, and with the software I have made for Liero, you can build your own levels and redraw the graphics in the game! But what about the game content? Well, the game includes tons of weapons, mini-guns, banana bombs (called chiquita boms in Liero :) and the Worm 1 classic, the Ninja Rope! An intresting feature in Liero is the
"physical model" which makes the game feel reel, (the "Ninja Rope" really feels like an elastic string). One of the things I really liked about Liero the first time I tried the game was the gore! When you shoot your friends... eh.. enemies I mean, you will se beutiful fountains of blood and gibs! Well, I suggest you try the game instead of me telling you about how great the game is! One thing is for sure,
Liero = 100% Action!!!

Please note: The Levels and the Rambo Graphic Mod, seen in these screenshots, is not included in the Liero Zip-file but can be downloaded from this page!

Wormhole 2.0 - The Ultimate Liero Level Editor!

Many of you have been waiting and now finally Wormhole 2.0 is here! Wormhole is a level editor for a very fun and popular game called Liero. Liero is actually an old dos game but no game of this type offers the same action and fun as this old charming dos game does! In liero you play in split-screen mode with a friend (well enemy maybe). You control one of two worms with the mission to... eh blow up your friend, and it's insanely fun! Liero is based on the old game Worms but has one difference, real time action instead of turn based action like in Worms. If you have downloaded Wormhole but don't have liero, go to the Wormhole official homepage (http://hem.passagen.se/otterud/wormhole) and download it now as Wormhole can't be used without liero v. 1.33!

So what is Wormhole then?
Well if gameplay was great in liero, something that wasn't so great was the levels in liero. These levels consisted of some dirt and some rocks, rather boring if you ask me. There is a level editor shipped with liero but with it you can’t do anything more than building dirt tunnels or placing rocks. Ugh! That is why I started programming Wormhole – a new liero level editor that allows you to do all those things that I was missing in the original liero level editor! Today, with the help of Wormhole, you can build levels that look and feel exactly like you want them to do. A new liero level file format (!), created by me, is featured in Wormhole 2.0. This new format allows you to use any colors and materials you want when drawing something!!! Also new in Wormhole 2.0 is the ability to change the way the level is played by using different level hacks. Change things like gravity and friction in your levels (you can even inverse gravity), set different worm physics, ninja rope settings and much much more! This will really twist your liero gaming experience and liero will not only be more fun to play but it will also last longer!

LGE - The Liero Graphic Editor 0.5b

Note: This is an old program! Liero GFX Mods can now be made with Wormhole 2.0 instead!!!

After Wormhole came my second Liero Editor! The Liero Graphic Editor allows you to repaint the in-game graphics, such as the Worms, Weapons, Explosions and so on!!! The program reads the Liero.chr file which includes all the in-game graphics. You can then convert the graphic into a normal Bitmap-file (bmp) and then convert it back to a Liero Graphic File. It's that simple! LGE also includes a great function which let's you switch between different Liero Graphic Mods with a single mouse-click! People has sent me really fun graphic mods since LGE was released. Army soldiers, Cats, Monkeys, Worm 1 characters, Pacman mods, a strange mix of ideas. LGE gives extra life to your Liero experience!!!

The Liero Blood Increaser 1.0

After a tips from a user that suggested I should try to create a blood increaser for Liero I gave it a try. It worked! You could now actually bring the blood amount up to 32750 % !!! Even if the difference isn't as big as the numbers suggests you will notice the difference, and get a "goorier" Liero for sure! If you get hit by a single shot your little worm will spew out heavy amounts of blood. Yeah! Gore! Download NOW!
