Here is another hybrid. It seems that the original idea was to make a double album out of "Tug of
War" and "Pipes of Peace". So, this is what I've done. And I've even thrown in some tracks from
"Give my Regards to Broad Street" and some oddities for good measure. We have to pretend, though,
that no collaborations would have been made. Therefore, there's no Stevie Wonder, no Michael
Jackson and no Carl Perkins here. Sadly in some cases, happily in others. Also, fairly
naturally, there are no remakes from the film soundtrack to be found here either.
These songs are removed from the original "Tug of War" album: "Ebony and Ivory", "Get It" and
"What's That You're Doing?"
These songs are removed from the original "Pipes of Peace" album: "Say Say Say", "The Man",
"Sweetest Little Show", "Hey Hey" and "Tug of Peace".
These songs are removed from the original "Give my Regards to Broad Street" album: All the
re-recordings, "Eleanor's Dream", "Good Night Princess" and "No More Lonely Nights (playout
version)".
The following songs are those that were on neither of the three albums originally: "Unbelievable
Experience", "Stop, You Don't Know Where She Came From", "It Seems Like Old Times" and "Here's
the Chord, Roy", all unreleased demos done before the first "Tug of War" sessions, "Rainclouds",
"Ode to a Koala Bear", the solo version of "Ebony and Ivory" and "I'll Give You a Ring", all four
B-sides recorded during the sessions, "We All Stand Together", a non-album A-side, and finally
"Robbers' Ball", an unreleased outtake.
