Fallax - "Intorno Alla Mia Cattiva Educazione" (1974) This really is an amazing album. 13 tracks that flows together into one long beautiful piece of music. Lots of flutes and great percussion. The singer has a good voice, sounds a little like the singer in Locanda delle Fate. The music is very symphonic in places, divided between fast sections with lots of percussion and flutes, and more gentle ones with lots of 'melancholic' symphonic rock. Sounds a little like an italian soundtrack sometimes almost. Because this is very atmospheric and conceptual music in a way. In parts they sound very classical also, like Quella Vecchia Locandas second album.
There really is no point in talking about special tracks here because they flow together so easily and create this magnificent album as a continuating piece. Somewhere between track 8 and 9 there is a strange break, the singer(?) has a long 'monologue'. And Track 9 begins - the melancholic BEAUTIFUL music begins again. Guitars, flutes... the sound is so wonderful, captures the same spirit as can be found on Quella Vecchia Locandas "Il Tempo della Goia".
The music never gets into boring jamming or repetative, rather it constantly evolves, shifting in style and sound but always keeping it on the more symphonic side. The last tracks are intense, reaching a climax before the end, where it fades out with "Splendida Sensazione". A very special album, worth treasuring.
