Utsatt - 7" (2003) Slug and Lettuce Lo-fi bare bone thrash punk from Sweden. This is far from your typical "flavor of the month" SwedePunk, rather a ten track salute to fighting (and thinking) for your self, set ot a raw soundtrack that is 20 years old. So no bullshit, so in your face, so sweet. Sloppy in all the right places, and chaos friendly from start to finish. - Robert PH Comment: Just a couple of years old but still a fucking old shite sounding hc punk 7", cool I guess don´t you think so too? Even though this is not really how we sound today it´s still really cool to hear. Profane Existence Ten songs of hoarse thrashy DIY punk from Sweden are delivered on this record. These guys manage to capture the old (80's) classic raw Swedish sound that so many bands seem to strive for. Its no wonder then, that this fucker rocks!!! If you need a modern comparison, let's say Diskonto, especially with the ripping vocals. Live, these guys muct kill! (Jordan) PH Comment: Hehe, cool I couldn't imagine that this record would be that apreciated, great to hear. Diskonto, that one of the songs yeah, no but this wasn't that bad to be compared with, d-beat mayhem that's the way! Reason to Believe 10 tracks of Swedish fast raw punk, the songs remind me a lot of 80's bands like Kaaos meets Moderat Likvidation but 10 times faster and with a real pissed of agressive vocal style whilst a real driving guitar sound and a sloppy drumming who in my book is a good thing for a punk band. English and Swedish socio-political lyrics from a personal perspective with English translations, a sticker and a horrible computer generated cover. Buy this record because it rocks. (PM) PH Comment: Rocks, yeah maybe, decide for your self as PM has done here, take a listen to some of the songs here at the page if you're interested. Short, fast + loud Second EP by these Swedish kids and it prtty much mimics the first record. Punk doesn't get much rawer then this in the studio. Harsh, "help I'm on fire!" vocals over speedy thrashin' punk rock, 10 songs worth. You won't find overproduced d-beat schlock here. ..this true to the heart engaging and insulting hardcore with intelligence and a need to put child molesters and rapists in their graves. Stay out these kids way. PH Comment: Hehe, Yeah, Stay our way out. Cool definiton on my vocals, fuck I'm on fire, could probably not be a better explanation of all of the sound. Doomed to extinction Wow, more raw punk from Sweden, not too unlike Attityd Problem (both bands hail from the same asrea if that's a explanation). High pitched aarrrrggghhh all the way and a wall of noisealong it, well, not really noisy, but truly rough and raging, a lot in the vein of early Moderat Likvidation... I don't thinkthere's much need to go any forther into it. Raw punk mongers will love it. PH Comment: You're right about AP, same singer, probably the reason that it seems a bitlike each other. And defenately raw punk, not to bad review of this piece of plastic eigther, cheers man. Attack! Fanzine Project Hopeless from Sweden with their 2nd 7" recorded '02, but I tell you it could just a well have been recorded in '85. I needed a few listens to appreciate this 'cause at first it just sounded like some mediocre raw punk. But I've gotten to like their unpolished "Really Fast vol. 1-4" era råpunk. I'm still not 100% convinced though. Some more variety between the songs would do the band good. And the two vocalists should make a few adjustments as far as I'm concerned, they're a little too screamy/dark. Other than that this is a fine release. PH Comment: It defenately sounds old, doesn't it. And it wasn't a to big disapointment this time eighter, we'll try our best for next time. Mylast chapter This is definitely a development in the right way for Project Hopeless. The vocals are highly improved and at this point sounds like he's got the worst cold ever and still screams. But the music still lacks tightness and brutality. It's too much punk rock for my liking. But there are signs of potential. The chorus in the second song "Du Är Lurad" is just bloody excellent and makes me wanna scream along... Let's see how they've developed until their next release. 4/10 PH Comment: Ok, some good words wasn't it, and a 4 out of 10 is not that bad eighter. And yeah "du är lurad" hehe, no great to hear, hope the next recording won't be disapointment for ya. Falafel Media Finally new record from this active Swedish band. Think a mix of Tatuerade Snutkukar and Last Security and this is what you will get. Great stuff, 10 songs! Project Hopeless - Utsatt, 7" New record from one of Swedens better bands now days! $3,5 ppd PH Comment: This looks good, I mean it's nice too hear such good words for our new recording. The second part is taken from the start page on Falafel media, and the first from the distro part. NOT TO BAD! Bustedheads records 2nd EP from this crazy Swedish outfit. 10 tracks of really fukked up and fast traditional Swedish hardcore. If you like Mob 47, you'll drool over this bunch. PH Comment: Sounds good doesn't it, it wasn't a bad review for this one, nice to becompared to a band that really inspires us, great. Hardcore Holocaust records *NEW RELEASE* 10 BLAZING, PISSED LO-FI TRACKS OF PURE SCANDINAVIAN RAW PUNK DISTORTION. LIKE THEIR 1st EP, THIS CONTINUES IN THE EARLY 80'S TRADITION OF BANDS LIKE MODERAT LIKVIDATION AND MOB 47. NOT ENOUGH RECORDS, SWEDEN PH Comment: Ok, not to bad for being a description of this great webpage distro, we hope you'll like the next release as well. Putrid Filth consparicy Much better than their first EP. Fast and rough Swedish Hardcore in the vein of the early '80s stuff. PH Comment: We agree, it's much better than the first one, and it seems like we play like the old days, if we listen to all these reviews. Istigate Records Fucking fast old styled HC from Sweden. These guys definetely know their MOB 47... Crazy-high vocals on top of that. PH Comment: Crazy-high vocals, seems to be worth listening to, or what do you think? Evigt Lidande production Very good raw punk in the well known swedish vein of old classics like Moderat Likvidation, Anti Cimex, Shitlickers and so on... Alot better than the debut. PH Comment: Great to hear that this is better than the old one, and yeah the sound is very old an it's way. Communichaos Media The second release for this band, this time it's rawer and give you a more true sound of what Project Hopeless gives you live, rawer and more agressive. If you like swedish raw punk in a dirty old way, this is probably for you. PH Comment: Yeah it's true, a rawer recording and this is the sound we give you, so this wasn't to bad, was it? |
