Reason to Believe

This is fantastic! Great, raw, pissed off recording. No frills, no messing, political punk. Heads down, play that guitar and smash those drums! Ten songs of Swedish HC/punk that has been compared to great bands such as Moderat Likvidation and Mob 47 (they even do a Moderat Likvidation cover). Three songs sung in Swedish, the rest in English that deal with fascist pigs, oil campanies and more social inequalities. Great cover with spikey mohawked punks getting drunk and playing punk rock!! (SHY)

PH Comment:
Yeah you know Steve, remember the night in Stockholm, maybe? Even if we've developed pretty much since this record I still find it very nice to get such a good response.

Ruptured Ambitions

A decent slab of manic snotty pogo punk from Sweden. This is more the kind of stuff that was cropping up in the US a few years back (TOXIC NARCOTIC, THE UNSEEN, E.B.S….) and London (in particular, SUICIDAL SUPERMARKET TROLLEYS spring to mind). 10 tracks of pure two-fingered um-cha um-cha protest, with a quick nod towards ABRASIVE WHEELS ("When the Punx" cover!) for good measure. Stirs me good & proper.

Great to hear, nothing to be unsatisfied with.

Doomed to extinction

I'm not sure which one of the EP's thier first one, but this one seems to be the later one somehow. Anyway, just like the previous 7" this one keeps up the (black) flag of quick, relentless raw punk, no more, no less. Maybe it's a bit more reminiscent to Snobbslakt due to the overtly chaotic playing and straight vocals that ain't as guinea pig-like as on "Utsatt" 7". But like before, I don't know what else to write about it except that it's damn good to see there's at least a handful bands who seem to be stock in 1982 (even though I guess the members were hardly existent at that time, ha). Oh and they run a cover of the Moderat Likvidation's "antifag", now if that ain't a reason to get your chubby little fingers on this!

PH Comment:
Yeah you're right there, we were hardly not born at this time =), but what does it matter, it's fucking raw punk. This is the first 7", just to let you know, and it's nice to read this review of the s/t 7" to be so appreciated.

My last chapter

I'm sorry to say this, but I think this just sucks... The music is all over the place and the vocals doesn't have a tiny little bit of rawness in it. I would have to say that this shouldn't even be a demo. Simply annoying punk trying to recapture the feeling of ol' swedish classics like Moderat Likvidation, but failing terribly. Maybe I'm judging this too hard, but it sounds like they're rehearsing for the first time...

2/10

This is 10 tracks of intense, infuriated hardcore punk from Sweden with serious energy and aggression and it is so chaotic that it's guaranteed to beat the living shit out of you! You like the sound of that? Well you should because this is some real punk right here that will get you on your fucking feet and in a frenzied state of mind but above all it is fun and that's a real important part of it for me- as the inlay states 'Don't Forget To Have Fun'. I like this a lot.

Cool, thanx alot for these word, we get pretty confused when people have such good words for this recording. But hear when some people really like it.

MaximumRock'NRoll

Blasting Swedish hardcoreassault a la MOB 47 and MODERAT LIKVIDATION. Raw kind of thin production that compliments the style quite nicely. Would like to see some more from this bunch soon. (MT)

You´ll hear more we promise.

Equalizing X Distort

What did all the studios burn in Sweden or something? This is the third Swedish record I have reciewed today with lo-fi production. But PROJECT HOPELESS play raw Swedish thrash similar to MOB 47. A Black and white collage cover, lots of pictures of ale (Carlsberg, how Scandinavian ?), and mohawks abound. The ABRESSIVE WHEELS cover of "the punx go marching in" is very appropriate. This is much better than the street punk nostalgia tripping that has been happening in North America over the last 8 years.

PH Comment:
OK the sound ain´t that good, but is this a D.I.Y. movement or what. Thanx for the good words.

Close-up #52

Busted heads

Project Hopeless S/t (Not Enough) - Wow, is it '82 all over again? New Swedish band doing fast, raw, lo-fi hardcore done the traditional old-school Swedish way. Think Mob 47, Moderat Likvidation, early Anti Cimex, Asocial etc etc. Great!

PH Comment:
This is very a good review for this record, a thing to add is that the same person has reviewedthis record on another place too, and if you know who it is, you notice a bit of a change in hie oppinions. Thanx for the good review.

SWEDISH RAW PUNK IN THE EARLY 80'S STYLE! 9 ORIGINALS AND A MODERAT LIKVIDATION COVER.

PH Comment:
OK, this is just an explanation in their distro but I thought it would do good anyway.

Raw/mangel punk from Ljungby the drunken Swedish way. 9 own songs and a Moderat Likvidation cover.

PH Comment:
Yeah it´s not very strange review after Oskar and Toms behavior when we were in London, and Jonas was one of the persons we met there. (We´ve learned in weard way to drink to much from our past shithole Ljungby)

Evigt Lidande productions

Raw swedish punk done in the classic way we were spoiled with during the early eighties. They do a song originally performed by the famous Moderat Likvidation, and that says alot. PH Comment:
Ok, it says pretty much, dirty old swedish hardcore punk.
