Different from their previous material; you could say harder and more crushing in a way, yet with the same attitude and sincerity as always. Add to that a really interesting interpretation of a Swedish hiphop-artists song ("Av hela mitt hjärta" - best track on the record), an absolutely fantastic mastering of the record by Mattias, and you have one hell of a record that outdoes most of the so far released punk records of this year. It's catchy, has a monstrous sound that hard to come bye, and of course some snazzy sing-a-long choruses making for a rally impact that's hard to deny. Even the lyrics are well thought through and brings out the essence of the band in a magnificent way.

Attack fanzine

The well used phrase "they keep getting better and better with each release" couldn't suit a band better than it suits Project Hopeless. For a long time I thought the band had lots of potential but that it was somewhat lost in their recordings which weren't the best. It wasn't until the 2007 LP "Välkommen Till Vår Sopfyllda Fabrik" that I felt they had overcome this and finally presented themselves they way they should. Now two years and a couple of line-up changes later they return with their very best material to date. They still deliver the same hard råpunk they've always done, but with a sound that's raw by choice and nothing else.
The 7" holds four tracks executed in their typical råpunk/käng manner with frantic vocals from Oskar and some roaring back-ups from Tom (and parts of the Crime City Hardcore Crew at times), all delivered with a convincing power. What's new with this release however is the overall incorporation of the tempo changes that brings forth a new catchier side of the band, something that is very prominent in the title track and "Name them, frame them". Project Hopless are now harder, rawer, and better than ever and I really hope they won't need another two years to record more material. [Krogh - July 16, 2009]

Jag måste erkänna att jag inte spelat Project Hopeless förra släpp, Lp’n ’Välkommen till vår sopfyllda fabrik’ en enda gång sedan jag recenserade den. När ’Av hela mitt hjärta’ dök upp förändrades hela min värdsbild (eller ja, min bild av P.H i alla fall). Borta är det jag inte gillade och kvar finns delikat hardcorepunk, nästan exakt som jag föredrar den. Flowet i riffen (och sången), vevet i trummorna (Linus från Disco Volande vevar nu mer) och ljudet, allt låter gött. Lägg där till Oskar tokrabiata pärla-gap, jag är mycket nöjd. Det låter inte som om de här låtarna är några hafsverk och om du letar trötta dussinruff får du leta vidare för några såna hittar du inte här. ’En enda dag’, ’Name them – frame them’, ’Crucified Freeddom’ och ’Av hela mitt hjärta’ är pärlalåtar med föredömligt driv, attack och känsla, hur bra som helst. Det var längesen jag snöade in på en 7:a på det här sättet, har tappat räkning på hur många gånger jag lyssnat på den sedan länge. Alla 4 låtar är goa men jag tror att jag föredrar de svenskspråkiga bäst och titelspåret är allra bäst. Nä dags att sluta nu, köp den här, bästa svenska 7:an som kommer komma i år, lätt! Man kan ladda ner den gratis på P.H’s hemsida om man vill terra innan man köper.

Turist i tillvaron

Det kryllar verkligen av punkband i Malmö och de flesta håller otroligt hög klass, som exempelvis anarkopunksen i Project Hopeless. Nyss hemkomna från en lyckad Usa-turné är trion nu aktuella med den feta fyralåtarssingeln "Av hela mitt hjärta". En lysande uppvisning i snabbt kängmangel med hardcoreinfluenser som toppas med fantastisk desperat sång. Lyssna bara på anti-snut-låten "Av hela mitt hjärta". Jisses vilket satans mangel. I love it.

Senaste given från Crimecitys Project Hopeless är denna 4 låtars 7’’. Tackar för den Oskar. Och jävlar vilken 7’’ sen! Gillar deras tidigare grejer jag hört, men detta toppar dom tidigare släppen med råge. Det är framför allt sången som jag tycker höjt sig sedan tidigare. Desperat är bara förnamnet, uppbackat av svinbra körer och växelsång. Och att säga att musiken svänger är en underdrift. Snabb hardcoreinfluerad kängpunk som bryter av i helt suveräna 4-takts partier så näven går i taket. Project Hopeless fixar galant att ta det bästa från olika ”stilar” inom punken och röra ihop det till en punkgryta de’luxe. Tajt, skitbra ljud och ett jävla sväng! Bara att skaffa, och det görs enklast genom att höra av sig till Not Enough. Eller ladda ner den från bandets hemsida om du hellre vill det.

I told myself that I would only bring up older records to shed some light on bands I feel have that something extra, which I wouldn't want people to miss out. But this new record from Project Hopeless just had to be presented, and deserves it thousandfold!

I've always liked Project Hopeless, but from the second I first heard this, I was hooked. The new material is way over the top.
