TOTO
1999-03-05 THE GLOBE ARENA, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
My first TOTO-concert ever!!!
It´s hard for me to describe a Toto-concert with words, so please figure it out yourself!
I remember I was a little nervous the whole day, I was going to see my musical-heroes for the first
time in my life!
Me and some members from the family were going to see them that night, I also remeber that I was
drinking alot of coke (don´t know why).
Then the lights went out and the audience began to scream and make noise.
The Mindfields-man came up on the big screen.
The guys camed out on the stadge.
They opened with Caught in the balance followed by Tale of a man.
Before the concert I had heard that Bobby didn´t sound so great this tour, but he did a great job.
All the guys sounded great.
I´m a drummer myself so of course I was waiting for the drum-solo.
After alot of good old and new songs the drumsolo finaly started.
It was the coolest drumsolo I ever had heard.
Actually Simon got the largest aplause of the whole night.
After a few songs they finally ended the show with Hold the line, ohh boy what a feeling!
The whole Globe arena was standing up and screamd Hold the line, love isn´t always on time
e,t.c.
Any highlighs of the show? No, I thought the whole concert was a highlight!!!
But versons of White sister and Hold the line were completely outstanding!
When I finally got the recording from this show I thought that Mad about youand the drum-solo
was
the best.
The day after the concert I was reading in the paper about concert.
Off course they thought it was a piece of crap concert, the one who wrote about the concert
thought
that the drumsolo was horrible, the concert got 1 point out of 5.

This is a day I never will forget, it was one of my best days in my whole life so far

TOTO
2000-06-12 GRÖNA LUND, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
My second Toto-concert.
They played at the funfair Gröna Lund in Stockholm.
I was there with my older brother.
I wasn´t so nervous before the concert. (not as nervous as I was before my first concert)
Anyway, it was raining that day so we wasn´t so shore if it would be a concert or not.
But then the intro started and the guys stepped out on the stage.
For me it was very cool, because I was standing perfect, just a few meters in front of the stage, so
that was a cool feeling.
Well, the show was cool, the songlist was pretty much as the songlist from the reunion-tour.
I have to say that Jeff Babbko is a real king, sometimes I thought that his way of playing solos was
better then David´s.
It was also the first time I saw John Jessel performing on the stage.
He was also very good, a good piano-player and a good singer.
Mr. Bobby Kimball didn´t sound as great as he did at the Globe arena 99.
But he did a great job this night to.
The sound on this concert was much better than it was at the globe.
At the Globe arena Bobbys microphone was very loud against the other guys microphones!
Ahh, what can I say? It´s very difficult to describe a toto-concert with words!
My faourites of this night was, Simon´s solo and a new cool verson of Georgy
porgy.
And of course Hold the line was a real highlight, at the end of Hold the line
they did a very fast
grove, reminds me to the song: Smell yourself.

SIMON PHILLIPS
2001-02-04 FASCHING, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
Pleace excuse my poor english, but I hope you understand me anyway.
My first concert with Simon Phillips as an soloartist.
The concert were at the jazzclub Fasching in Stockholm.
Fasching isn´t such a big place so it was just around 200 visitors this night.
Well, the concert was great, but I remeber when I first saw the drums I became chocked.
The drumset was very small against the drumset he used on the last tour with Toto.
But when the guys started to play their fantastic music I understood that it dosen´t really maters
what equipment they use.
Simon played on his small drum-set, Jeff Babbko played on a big piano, Randon Fields played on his
saxofon, and I don´t know the names of the other two guys who played the bass and the trumpet,
but
they all was playing very well.
We got to hear alot new songs and covers, we also got to hear two great drumsolo´s, one pianosolo
and one bassolo.
The musicans was playing perfect, and it was all so great.
I don´t think that the make any money on this, you can see that the main-thing is that they really
have fun!
It must be cool to play at so many different venues, from the Globe-arena with 15 000 visitors and
than a please like Fasching with 200 visitors.
Look, it´s hard to describe with words about something so fantasic as an liveconcert with some
of
the best musicans in the world.
You must visit a cocnert yourself and then you´ll understand that there isn´t any words which
discribe a cool concert.
My favourite song from the concert was the opening song: Vantage Point.
