Elliott, Stuart

"Bang your drum, sing your song
Don't give up, keep tyhe faith, it won't be long"

Member of the APP...

Stuart has been on all but two APP albums (not ToMaI or I Robot) and every AP album. He also played on Ladyhawke, APATPOPTBOTAPP and Freudiana.
He has also performed with Keats, Kate Bush, Justin Hayward, Al Stewart.

He is primarily known as the drummer of AP(P), but on Alan Parsons Live (US release) he made his debut (?) as a singer. The song, Take the Money and run, was written by Andrew Powell and, yes, Stuart! Since then he has actually written or co-written quite a few songs.

On the album On Air:

On the album The Time Machine:

... and so much more!

Elliott has been a member of Cockney Rebel who also recorded with the Alan Parsons Project and Al Stewart. Elliott became one of Kate's regular drummers with the album The Kick Inside. The only musician other than her brother Paddy - and of course, Kate herself - to appear on every Kate Bush album to date. Rather than ennumerating all the songs on which he plays drums or percussion, it would be easier simply to list the handful of tracks on which he does not play.

For a complete album listing, search for Stuart Elliott on e.g. the All Music Guide.

A rumor tells that Stuart has just finished a tour with Alice Cooper. (No kidding!)
Currently he's writing for various bands and has just finished another album with Kate Bush that has not released yet!
(That rumor's name is by the way none the less person than Christian Elliott. ;-)

If you have the even the slightest piece of trivia to share about Stuart Elliott, don't hesitate to mail it to me: ndrew@hem.passagen.se. Thank you!
