Mostly all of the collected pictures on these pages can be found in books and Museum collections, but many are also in many different internet pages. My decison is therefore to show them on my free historic info pages as itīs very hard to decide whoīs got the copyright for each of them. Therefore I have also made my pages safe, so no one can rightklick and copy them. Enjoy these beautiful pictures!

I also included the writings of Ohiyesa (Charles Eastman), in the biographies of these great chiefs. He was the first Native American author to live simultaneously in both the traditional world of the Santee Sioux and the modern civilization of the white man, He met many of them, he was Native American and therefore itīs essential to include his writings.
