Who am I?

I was born in 1955 and come from Iran.
Presently I work as Data Coordinator at an international company. It means responsibility in Sweden for common international and local systems. My main duties are to support users in Sweden and maintain contacts with the Head Office concerning continuous performance control, follow-up and the further development of systems. In addition, my work includes professional participation in developing international as well as local administrative systems.

Previously I worked as Database Administrator (DBA) at The Swedish Business and Credit Information Agency
(UC AB) with responsibility for about 250 data bases which are in development, test and production in IMS and CICS-environment. My task was the planning, optimizing and maintenance of mainly DL/I data bases. In the begining of 1997, we upgraded to IMS 5.1 and chaged the system from local DL/I to DBCTL. I collaborated in application development and on different integration projects as a system analyst too.

In the past, I have worked as a System Analyst and was then in charge of the production, implementation and further development for a data system in I.B.M mainframe with about 100 users in a "Novell" network with Microsoft Office Pro. software. The system is both on-line and batch, written in COBOL under IMS.
I had daily contacts with customers. 1995, we converted the system to adjusting for year 2000. I was also responsible for a smaller system written in PL/I, which makes specifications for data from different insurance companies regarding car accident rate. I assisted with all sorts of tasks, from fixing a printer, to managing a project. As we were customers of the SEMA GROUP, I had daily contact with their technicians in Sundsvall, in north Sweden.

I have major experience in COBOL- and PL/I-programming and know a little Pascal- and C-programming. I have developed systems on PCs such as a registration system with Clipper and register searching system with Access.
I have been studying mathematics and computers for two years and during which I learnt Pascal, Simula, Lisp, Smalltalk and C language, UNIX operative system and Macintosh.
During my studies, I worked as a sales/representative (Folksam insurance company), bus driver (Stockholm Local Traffic), ticket collector (SJ) and machine operator (Kodak - substitution over the summer). You can see in my Résumé that I have about 22 years of experience in the computer business.

My hobbies

Of course my biggest interest is in computers. That is the reason for why I have done this home page and want to learn more about Internet and everything which is in and around it.
If I get any time over I take a walk in the beautiful Swedish nature or cycle and enjoy every minute.
I am married and have two children who also are interested in computers. We usually come along pretty well but sometimes I have to stand in queue to be able to use the PC.
